We are glad to announce that ACX access reader can be placed at both indoor and outdoor location as it has passed the IP test approved by the 3rd party.
X1 X2 X3 reader passed the IP55 test and K1 K2 K3 K6 reader passed the IP65 test. IP Rating (Ingress Protection Rating) is the rating used to classify the different levels of sealing effectiveness provided by an electrical enclosure against foreign bodies such as objects, water, dirt, etc.
IP55 means that our product protected from limited dust ingress, and protected from low pressure water jets from any direction; IP65 means that our readers are able to protect against water jets, and water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.
